ARRIVE BY TRAIN
The nearest train station to Agonda is Canacona (also known as Kankon) which is a 15 minute rickshaw away. Margao Train station (also known as Madgoan) is a main station and is a 45 minute taxi journey but many more trains stop there and they are often the faster trains. We can organise for a rickshaw or taxi to meet you when you arrive.
ARRIVE BY PLANE
Dabolim airport in Goa is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes taxi drive to Agonda. There are many pre-paid taxi offices and the rates are set and displayed on the wall. You simply pay at the office and give the ticket to the driver. When you arrive at Agonda Beach with the beach road (parallel to the beach) in front of you, you turn right and Agonda White Sand is about 2 minutes drive along on the beach side. Ask any local person and they will give you directions.
ARRIVE BY ROAD
From the South
If arriving from Karnataker (southern state) you simply follow National highway 17 (NH17) to Canacona (Chaudi) and then take the Agonda road until you see the sign for Agonda Beach. You can call us or ask local people in Chaudi for directions.
From the North
If arriving from North Goa you have 2 choices. Firstly, you can come directly on the NH17 to Canacona (Chaudi) and then take the Agonda road until you see the sign for Agonda Beach. You can call us or ask local people in Chaudi for directions.
Secondly you can come the scenic route which travels over the hills along the coast. Although beautiful it can add 20 minutes to the journey. If you are not tired, I would recommend this. Take the Betul turning off of the NH17 and you will travel through many tiny villages with stunning Portuguese mansions. You will pass near Fort Aguada, then Cola and then you will reach the turn for Agonda Beach.
